Profile

I’ve spent 16 years keeping systems running and more importantly, understanding what happens when they don’t. My career has moved across Tech, EPC, and Finance, but the thread has always been the same: infrastructure, security, and the quiet work of making things resilient before anyone notices they could break.

Today I’m Associate Vice President – IT at Religare Finvest Limited in New Delhi, where I lead IT transformation, run the vulnerability management cycle, handle external audits, and keep our governance aligned with RBI expectations. Before this, I spent five years at Hatch, managing global hybrid cloud infrastructure across Windows, Linux, Hyper-V, SD-WAN, and data centre projects — and building the India IT team from the ground up.

What I Build Outside Work

D.NIX is my DNS and domain intelligence platform — six years of motivation, two years of planning, one year of development, launched March 2026. It combines RIR allocation chain visualisation, RPKI/IRR validation, PeeringDB data, DNSBL checks, FCrDNS verification, and EUI-64 MAC derivation into a single free report. No single competitor does all of that in one place. If you work with IP addresses, DNS, or BGP routing, it was built for you.

Colonial Cloud is my book — a field manual on digital sovereignty for Indian CIOs, founders, and engineers. It asks a simple question: who holds the keys to your infrastructure, and how fast can you leave? It covers jurisdiction risk, sanctions lockouts, vendor lock-in economics, subsea cable geopolitics, and comes with checklists and contract language you can paste into your next RFP.

What I Know Well

Hybrid cloud architecture — Windows Server, Linux, Hyper-V, Azure. Networking — VLANs, subnets, SD-WAN, Palo Alto, HPE Aruba. Storage and compute — HP 3PAR, Nimble, blade and rack servers. Security — vulnerability management, incident response, digital forensics, ISMS auditing. DNS, BGP, and IP intelligence — the stuff I built D.NIX around. Business continuity, disaster recovery, and the kind of IT governance that actually survives an audit.

About This Blog

This site is where I write about the things I actually work on — DNS, infrastructure, cloud architecture, security, and the occasional sharp opinion on how the industry works. No sponsored content, no ghost-written thought leadership. If it’s here, I wrote it, I tested it, or I broke it first and then fixed it.
